ah, just going through a ton of ads I'm about to list on my other site - but just wanted to show this ingenius ad from the 1900's for Buckingham's Dye:

This is the first ad you see, where the whiskers are grey:




then you pull the middle section down, to reveal the rest of the ad - and a dark brown beard - pretty cool, huh? : )

Well, ok, it's not cool by toDAY's standards - but holy cow - back then - this was pure genius!!!
